This is a cut open OE plus pro series oil filter PRS9715 which fits many Subaru models, including my Subaru Legacy GT with the FA24 engine. It was bought from a Canadian Tire in Canada. On the box it lists which filters it directly replaces including the Wix 57055. I wonder if that means it has same or similar bypass valve specs to the 57055? I believe this filter was made by premium guard, the top of the filter has a "leak tested" similar to other brands made by them. Seems to be of high quality.
