Good morning folks. Here is a ProMotive PH-2500 from a 13' Suburban, 7,900 miles with unknown oil type. Notice the slits in steel center tube and it was manufactured on December 1st, 1st shift. Enjoy the pics and if you have any questions please ask.

I like it. It's packed with filtering media, and it uses a leaf type spring.

What's interesting is the Puro L-12222, I just posted the nitrile ADBV says "PARKER" on it; this ADBV doesn't have anything embossed into it

Looks ok to me, especially considering miles. And first time ever seen a louvered design centertube on Puro made or made for filter. Guess you did bring one from work.

Parker 'labeled' adbv are used by Wix.

As said on other thread though, I don't see any issue with using a slotted design. Been good for Champ and Clarcor/Baldwin/Hastings for years.

So Purolator does make the slitted center tube. The idea is fine as long as the cutter is very sharp, but I prefer holes where the metal is taken away, rather than a cut made and the hole stretched out from the cut. It may be there is a manufacturer of these tube stamping machines, and companies buy the same type machine according to need.
