The post office could easily be fixed, but 6 day a week bulk mail delivery is crazy in current times and the legacy pension costs need to be dealt with seperately.

Of course no one can seemingly accept either idea hence will only get worse.

All pensions should be 100% funded.

I know someone who placed an airtag in a priority USPS shipment. It sat at the USPS for 2 days and arrived late.

It irks me to no end. How the civilian facing side of Government is neglected. TSA, USPS, ICE, etc, things that we actually interact with. Funny how people think the USPS is supposed to "make money" by slashing benefits and pay, for the government servants. Treat them like crap. All the meanwhile raise prices to US the citizens.

I do not see elected officials voting themselves less pay, and they don't give you an ear unless you're a 10k+ donor. This idea we should run the USPS like a business is crazy. It is a SERVICE to US, ME AND YOU. Should be adequately funded, same with TSA, ICE, imagine if we expect the CIA, the IRS, or the military to "run like a business" and make a profit. Why the double standard?
The USPS should be bare bones cost and more of a service to the people. We the people.

I remember people putting a bunch of 1 cent stamps on letters in protest of it going up to 8 cents.

YES! Ha ha ha..... those were the days when companies (even USPS) cared about what the customer thought. No more.

They all know it does not matter how poor the quality of their products or services become, or just how upset and mad us customers get.... Doesn't matter to them. After so very many corporate buy outs and mergers they are truly aware of how little options to shop around the consumers have today. Little to no competition has led to the "so what" attitude when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Used to be "the customers are always right." More and more it feels like they must have changed that to "the unhappy customers can take a hike!'
