Well I don't know if this is good or not. Came across it while looking stuff up for Pablo's question. I ordered a few, says ship 1-2 months so who knows if they will honor it. Since it's an add-on item had to order something else to put it over $25. No promises, no guarantees, but for $0.01 it's like winning a prize if they do honor the deal.

I had to pick up some new Ernie Ball strings for a couple of my guitars so I added one in for a penny. I guess I will find out if it is legitimate or not. I have a Prime account with Amazon, so it is free two day shipping. Hard to go wrong if the price is really 1 cent.

I preordered Iron Man 3 and a disney music CD for my son.. and put in for a system too.. like it was said.. at worst.. I'm out a penny!

I just added one... I had to order a few things that came to around $35, so I was in the right ordering amount for the add-on items...

So I added it and ordered it. They said they will email me when it is available to ship, but I put in for it.

So, in a few months, anyone want to buy one of these sets from me for $199?

Not amazon, but I ordered a used dual xeon workstation w/ 8Gb for about $15 from a computer recycler. Price was listed for more than a week, so I ordered it on a weekend and they shipped it

They price was corrected quickly on Monday; so some may honor pricing mistakes.

Looks like they just took it down. I tried adding it to my cart and it said it wasn't available.

Thanks for the link. I just ordered one and some G-oil. If the $0.01 system ships I'll sell it to one of the street hawkers for $50 and end up with essentially free oil!

In 2003 a national chain sporting goods store made a mistake on the price of a box of 1,000 rounds of .22LR ammunition at $0.99. The price came up at the cash register. I asked if I could go back and get some more boxes and was told I could. I bought all they had, 20 boxes and no one in the store even blinked at the transaction. They told me more were expected in the next shipment on Wednesday. I came back but the price had been corrected and besides, I had enough for myself and my friends for a while. I asked the manager about the mistake and he said he recalled something about it but that he had more important things to do and could not keep up on the pricing for so many items in the store. He said that was the reason they had bar codes and a cash register that could read them, add up the totals and the sales tax. Pricing was no longer his problem.

It was a mistake, not a "Bargain"........

Online looting at its best.

Really People.

Looting implies stealing, i.e. breaking into a store and taking things. Chill out a bit.

OoOoOoO the online morality police have arrived??

The title says price mistake? The OP never claimed it was a bargain?

I'd be ashamed to order this right after they are ashamed to sell me something that cost 30Cents to make in china for 35$.

Oh so if its made in china its ok.........

Would you bring something to the counter at a grocery store that is obviously prized wrong and hope you can walk out with it?

Yeah.....

Mine was cancelled too (I needed to order the strings anyway so no loss), but I question the intent especially since it was an add-on item meaning that you had to buy at least $25 worth of items to be able to buy this one. Mistake or not, my guess is that Amazon made quite a few sales today and on each time something like this has happened.

Is this a new form of "bait and switch"?

Yeah.....

I bought 4-5 boxes of cookie for 99 cents on a Friday evening some months ago from a local grocery store, the normal price was $9.99.

The checkout counter person just scan the UPC and said "Good price on the cookies". Whatever the price stamped on a product is the price I should pay, no more no less. If someone decided to lower the price from $9.99 to 99 cents for 1 day, I don't have problem with it.

Wow lol...i'm guessing all the FAR or better than FAR deals must be driving some people insance...

...It was listed as an "add-on" item which are meant for people to "add-on" to their orders to get the order over the $25 for free shipping...so it was possible that it was intentional on amazon's part? unlikely/=impossible
