I’ve come across another Group 48 battery made in Austria. It looks like the Everstart Max my son bought described in posting # 91 . This one is a NAPA Canada Legend Import. It’s a 680 CCA and tested at 783 CCA and 12.67 V off the rack. There was no date sticker. I first checked Walmart for a 48 but they were out so I went over to Napa where I get a car club discount. Looks like I got almost the same battery, with slightly less CCA but the same individual cell plugs. This has a 4 year full replacement warranty.

I just put this exact battery into my kids’ new 2016 Forester. Lots of CCA’s and I only get Duracell’s these days.

The 750 CCA Batteries plus option.

Background: Took it to the dealer a couple times because I was constantly getting “connected services disabled to preserve battery” messages on the app. Also it frequently would not have approach lighting or dome lights functioning if it sat for more than a couple hours. Started fine though. The dealer’s battery tests always came back “good”. Knowing OE batteries and being annoyed with the dealer, I took it into my own hands.

Just replaced it today, so time will tell if this turns out to be worthwhile investment. I believe it will. One surprising thing to note is that the power steering feels lighter, especially once I get towards full lock. Also everything boots up faster which was expected.

I really wanted an X2 because of previous luck with them. But that battery size isn’t available. So the next best or equal is Odyssey as it’s also an Enersys battery.

My Toyota Hybrid is 5 years old. I figured it was time to be proactive and replace the Group 47/H5 AGM.

I normally would go to Costco, but picked up an Everstart Platinum AGM at Walmart instead with the primary reason being that most batteries at Walmart in my area(including the one l purchased) have an "EP" serial number. The East Penn seem to be preferred on this site. Second, Walmart has a 4 year non-prorated warranty.

My local Walmart had 5 in stock. Of course l looked at all the date stickers and bypassed the 1/26 batteries at the front and made an effort to get the only one with a 2/26 date sticker from the back of the rack.

Check out the 2/26 date sticker and EP serial number in the pictures! I hope everyone is as excited about this purchase as l am.

Well, I guess buying car parts is still a cheaper hobby than golf. 😁

My kid’s 2015 Lincoln MKC was dead this morning. No prior signs of impending doom…I jumped it and we brought it to Dad’s garage for the battery replacement since it was raining. Got a new Everstart Platinum H6 from Walmart and swapped it out for the dead Costco Interstate. Was sure to do the manual battery management system reset to alert the car to the new battery….

Picked up agroup 65 Motomaster OE Plus 750cca from Cambodian Tire. Used in the 2017 Ford Flex.

Used the same brand of batteries on my 2017 Ram 3500 6.7, which seem to work great.

I wish you the best of luck. I just had two group 58's poop themselves one right after the other.
Never again.
Good luck though🤞(y)

Group 26R 1 year from Walmart. Bought a JD Gator diesel and a Toro Workman, this will help diagnose and will go along with one of the machines once fixed.

Walmart Group 35 AGM failed in my truck after 6 months. After Walmart tested it, they confirmed my diagnosis. Basically after charging to full it dies back down to 11.85 after about 30 minutes. Got a new one, truck running fine again.

Replaced the original AUX battery in my 2016 Mercedes E350 with an Odyssey ODS-AGM14 battery ($135 at Napa). Now my batteries are matchers, since two years ago I replaced the OG starter battery with an Odyssey ODP-AGM48 H6. I think 10 years is a pretty good run.

Last week was battery week for me. '23 Silverado OEM battery, got the warning message low battery. Only 12.2v resting so in went a WM Platinum H7, EP made. Tested wife's Equinox since I couldn't see the date sticker with it installed and remember it's age, only 34% capacity, not too bad for a 7 yr. old AA battery, in went a WM Platinum H6 EP made. Both new AGM batteries had one month old made stickers on them.
Both daily drivers so never on any maintainers unlike all my other batteries.

Purchased this battery at work for my dad’s 2004 Buick Park Avenue. It’s replacing the ACDelco that came with the car when we bought it back in 2024. Retail on this battery appears to be around $209 but I got it for $119.56 employee price.
