post your latest transmission lubricant change.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer (Brother's car):

-4.25qts Maxlife ATF
-8oz. LG Red

191,800 miles. Trans fluid was in ok shape, but trans exhibits a 2-3 harsh shift/slip. Poor maintenance history.

2002 Chevrolet Prizm, 160619 Miles
38,000 miles on previous fill

+4qts Proline Dexron III ATF (Pep Boys brand)

Pan dropped, magnets cleaned and filter replaced. Everything was still shiny inside -- the only part of the car that still looks new!

3rd Drain & fill on the VW

Used Maxlife the first 2 times, gave the Valvoline Import a try this time. Added a bottle of Lubeguard red as well. Shifting better & better everytime. I can't imagine there is much old fluid left. I finally think the trq convertor clutch isn't shuddering anymore.

Also did a drain & fill on the Forester with Subaru ATF-HP, thought it might improve shifting a bit. Can't really tell but hey new fluid is better!

3qts. Valvoline + Lubeguard Red on the VW

4qts. Subaru ATF-HP on the Forester

2003 Mazda Tribute V-6 w/CD4E:

3.5 quarts ST Mercon, and 11oz (350ml) Gunk Trans Seal (got it on clearance...figured couldn't hurt)

2008 CRV, 127k

Third AT service (prev serviced at 35k and 114k)

3.3 qt of Genuine Honda ATF DW-1 and a new crush washer.

Greetings All,

Recently serviced my A8, F150 & Ram w/Eaton FSO6406A.

A8.. AmsOil Syntec ALLISON Spec ATF and a qt of Kz33
F150.. AmsOil Syntec ALLISON Spec ATF and a qt of Kz33
Didn't flush... only drain and change the filter (OEM)
Eaton FSO6406A.. AmsOil 50 gear lube and a qt of Kz33

Kz33.. used in everything (engine & diff) for twenty years
including the T400 in my 76mm Turbo S2 V6 Buick Regal
(if I can afford C16).

Filter/pan drop done last Friday I replaced the lost fluid with Castrol dex/merc.

Good news is, the mechanic tells me that it's been done before on my car. The PO told me he never did it; I guess the PPO must've done a service at one time.

Fluid looked good, no metal in the pan!
