post your latest transmission lubricant change.

My mom's 1993 Camry 5sfe auto. Used a hydro-turf fluid extractor and pulled 3 quarts out, 4.4 qt is the capacity, so a decent amount. Fluid was grayish, faintly red/purple, has never been changed in 160k of its life. Added in 3qts of valvoline maxlife dex/merc.

50k miles on a ZF 6hp.

Completed an oil change per ZF recommendation using LifeGuard 6 ATF, new pan / filter and mechtronics sleeve).

Hope it helps come resale.

2000 Saturn SC2 "Red Hot" 5-Speed

Out: Whatever the previous owner had in.

In: Amsoil ATF

Shifts nice...

2012 Honda Civic 10K miles:

Did a drain/fill with Amsoil Low-Viscosity ATF. Magnet had quite a bit of break in material, fluid looked decent though.

Shifting doesn't seem much different, maybe a touch smoother with the Amsoil.

Just drained out some Redline Lightweight Shockproof from my Hyundai genesis Coupe 6 sp mt. Put in 2.2L Redline MTL.

That Shockproof is the stickiest lube I've seen for manuals. I filled with the MTL and drove for 400 miles, drained it and you could hardly tell any red MTL was in it. The Shockproof is aqua colored. It was thinner but still greenish.

drain and fill 3 1/8 quarts from a 2003 sierra 4l60e.
filled with supertech dex III.
i will (in the future) change the filter when i clean the fluid up!

99' Audi Quattro D2/A8 4.2L V8 (133K/Annual Service)
Engine.. AmsOil 10W-30 w/1 Qt. Kz33 (PAO/PTFE Lubricant Enhancer)
ZF Transmission in same.. AmsOil TorqueDrive w/1 Qt. Kz33 (PAO/PTFE LE)
Dropped trans pan for check, clean as a pin FWIW.
Differentials.. AmsOil Gear Lube

No issues over the last 2 years I have been owner of this A8.

The only reason i did not use NEO was their less than positive customer relations and attitude (Stinks/IMO).

Completely drained the Mercon out of the M5OD in the Rat in '12, less than 3k ago. Added a pint when I changed the oil last month. It is an old Ford, if things didn't leak, they would be empty.

2000 Silverado 5.3 Z71 157000
Out: Whatever previous owner had in it
In: Supertech Dex/Mec
Results: The shift quality is a little better. I don't think the previous owner ever changed it. I wondering if i should run it for a couple thousand miles then change it again and maybe switch to maxlife

2003 Mazda Tribute V-6 w/CD4E.

Drained out about 4 quarts, and replaced with 3.6 quarts of Brad Penn 'IIIH' Dex/Merc fluid;, and .4 quart (350ml) bottle of Gunk Trans-medic.

Fluid was in good shape, but seemed to be a fair amount of gunk on the magnetic plug. Just trying to nurse this one along for another year or so...we'll see!

2002 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2 ecotec, 90,036 miles, daughter's car.

Trans fluid & filter last changed at dealer at 60,000 when it was in for something else.

First time dropping the pan after watching the YT videos. There were 10 8mm bolts, gasket was in great shape, (don't know if dealer changed that or not) 7 3/4 qts came out, 7 3/4 qts. Maxlife syn. merc/dex back in. This is one of those no dipstick engines so I just replaced what came out.
I was surprised that the old fluid looked almost as dark as used motor oil.

2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart with ~30,000 miles.
OUT: Factory fill and factory oil filter. They call it Dia-Queen SSTF-1
IN: Ravenol fully synthetic DCTF and a new OEM oil filter. I got the fluid from Blauparts and the filter on eBay.

The car doesn't drive any differently, but I feel good having done the service. One thing that really annoyed me is that this car has no dipstick, instead it has 2 fill plugs that are buried under the airbox, and require the removal of:
The airbox
One vacuum switching valve
The connector and cable to the MAF
The hose from the BOV back into the intake
and the bracket that holds the shift cable in place.

Seems like they were so focused on the basic Lancer models, that they didn't take the time to think of the high performance ones.

Cooler line exchange on the Odyssey at 240k on Sunday.

OUT: Maxlife & Lubegard Red
IN: Maxlife & Lugegard Platinum

After a few days, my wife prefers the shift feel of the LG Platinum.

2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 110,650 miles.

Out: GM fluid when it was serviced at the dealer at 65,000 miles. (Car was getting a trans solenoid replaced under warranty.)

Checked the level warm, flat service, fluid was at the high side of the hash mark.

Put car on ramps, dropped pan, 20 bolts, drained 6 quarts out, pretty dark in color. Pan was pretty clean, some debris on magnet. Cleaned gasket, reused.

In: 6 quarts Valvoline Maxlife Dex/Merc synthetic. (Bought 8 since manual said drain and fill was 7.4 qts.

Took car for a drive , back in driveway, checked level warm, top of hash marks, went in to see end of football game.
