Out: unknown brownish-looking glop
In: Wolf's Head Universal Synthetic, Lubegard Red

Ha. Guess I asked for that. To clarify, I drained the fluid by removing the drain plug, and refilled thru the dipstick tube.

Changed the AT fluid in daughter's '03 Civic yesterday. Boy it that an easy DIY project. All you need is a 3/8" ratchet and a drain pan. ( A youtube video shows how easy).
Took out 3 qts. dark brown fluid, replaced with 3 qts. DW-1. First drain and fill with 84,500 miles. I'm so ashamed. I'll do another D&F in about 1,000 miles to try and catch up.

05 Malibu -
Out: ST D/M
In: ST D/M and a new filter.

Supertech's AT fluid works like a charm for the vehicle. Smooth and crisp shifts

2001 Subaru Impreza RS, transaxle and rear diff

Out: The Valvoline High Performance dino I put in last fall

In: What I should have used, Subaru Extra-S

No more 1st gear synchro issues now.

1995 Ford Taurus GL, 3.0L Vulcan V6, AX4N Trans

184,039: Added 1qt. Royal Purple Max ATF
~183,000: Exchanged 1 gallon of the old via siphon with 1 gallon Supertech D3/M, $11.97 gallon jug.

Added LGR and Seafoam Trans-Tune as well.

2010 Nissan Frontier 4.0 V6 - 5spAT - 69K

Drain and Fill Only
3+ quarts Valvoline Maxlife Dex/Merc Synthetic

[MaxLife claims it's Nissan Matic S compatible...I hope.]

Will be doing a simple drain and fill @ 80K and 90K...if I still own truck by then.

Dad's 2000 Grand Caravan 138k miles

Out: I assume circa 2000 ATF+3
In: 4 qts. ATF+4 & new filter

Grey clutch goop looked like mortar mix.

'99 Toyota Altezza RS200 6MT

Out: Redline MT-90 75w-90 (@30K mi)

In: TRD/Motul Gear Competition 75w-140

Doing a bit of an experiment with this one to get some feedback for the lads at Motul NZ. So far it's proving to be surprisingly drivable when cold. On the sub 10°C/50°F mornings its a bit stiff for the first few miles, but when its hot its amazingly smooth. Motul makes some quality products thats for sure.

2001 GMC Savana 1500 work van 4l60e
Out: ugly glop
In: Wolf's Head Universal Synthetic and Lucas Transmission stuff, new filter

2004 Toyota Camry

Drain and Fill

Out Toyota T4

In Toyota T4

33,991 miles since last service. Toyota dealer has always done a flush. I am going to start doing a drain and fill about every 15k to 30k. I think that should be a good interval. Fluid isn't dirty or burnt.

Drain and fill-2006 Nissan Pathfinder 80,000 mi

Out with 4.1qts of FF (Nissan matic J I assume, pretty dark)

In with Matic S.

Very noticeable difference. The change from Park-Reverse-Neutral-Drive is nearly undetectable.

Dropped the pan on the 05 3500 Chevy Chassis with 6.0L/4L80E combo 27k. What a royal pain thankfully the last time since I put in a drain plug. Reused the factory gasket.

Out I'm guessing Factory Fill

In - Valvoline Maxlife 7.5+ quarts.. not sure if it's full yet. The book list 7.7 quarts. It's on a slight incline hoping that's what it is.

Drained out VW 060 for Redline MT-90. I was experiencing notchy and crunching 1st gear when hot with the OEM MTF for my 2000 VW Jetta hence I went with the thicker 75W90 of the RL.

2003 Toyota Tacoma reg. cab 5spd manual 4x4. 99,000 miles

Changed out what I believe was the factory fluid for Redline Racing Oil's Shockproof lightweight. Specs call for 75w90 GL4.
I was experiencing notchy shifts. Also changed out the transfer case which specs 75w90. This stuff is awesome in gear cases.

No more notchiness and I expect I'll change it in 50K miles.

Also had a pint left over so I dumped it into left-over partial gallon of cheap supertech 80W90 syn blend and pumped that into both axles. Synthetics/synblend for less than $75 4WD service.
