4 jugs of Mobil 1 0w20 Truck and SUV purchased from Amazon. I thought it was going to be the usual jugs, but I received updated branded and SQ formulation which now claims 20k miles.

GTX was $15/jug
Valvoline EP was $4/quart X 10
Pennzoil 5W40 was $5.65/quart X 6
Fram was $3.25/quart X 7

I passed on Silver GTX at $20/jug today. Probably should have grabbed some.

I ordered 3 from Walmart at the $27.97 price when it showed and order went through. They could only find 2 jugs which I'm OK with. I checked the oil aisle and end caps before I picked up the order. No luck either at least this store, others around me showed no stock even for 2 bottles at the $31.97 price.

Bonus for me, 2 guys stocking the oil aisle. I asked if I could have the empty boxes that hold 3 so I could sort/stack my stash better. They said no problem so I got 6 empty boxes, 2 still are empty in case I can't help my lack of will power. I now have 23x 5 qt jugs of variety mostly VRP and Edge. I labelled the MFG date, brand, version on the side of boxes with tape and put date on top of the caps to help rotate stock.

Nice score! Walmart has been so hit or miss with oil. Whenever I find myself at Walmart I check for ESP. If it’s on the shelf I grab one.

One store "by me" shows the 3 pack at $27.97 available for pickup at 2pm. By me is a relative term, 27 miles, 33 minutes each way and totally opposite where I normally drive. I don't need it that bad with rest of stock.

My 2 ESP's are SQ, manufactured 05/10/2026.

Now my dilemma. Jeep Renegade needs OCI in 1k miles, FIL pays for it, he'll probably get Castrol Edge (1/25 date) from use up rotation. I have 2 PGI filters already for it and obviously oil. Do I have him replenish my supply with a VRP (what visc?) or an ESP 0W-30? I have at least 17 PGI Honda filters, 11 EcoGard Hyundai/Kia screw on (Tucson/Forte), 5 PGI cartridges for daughters boyfriends Sonata......or some egg sandwiches for breakfast, his treat?

I’d go for the ESP but 5W-30 Restore and Protect is great too. Breakfast samies are a must.
