New to me 2017 Ford F-150 2.7L Ecoboost
108,060 miles on truck, purchased with 107,800 miles.
Dealer claims they changed the oil before I bought it at 107,800 miles, but the last known documented oil change prior to that was at 103,000 miles with the previous owner. The oil was very dark and smelled like gasoline, not like it had just been changed 200 miles prior as the dealer noted. I went ahead and changed it for my own records and sanity. Other than that, the truck has been flawless and runs very smooth. 1 owner, serviced at the dealership every 5-8k miles over its life. Dealership did go ahead and throw on some new pads and rotors, which I was grateful for. Loving the truck so far. Compliments the Mustang GT well.

Out: unknown dealer bulk oil and filter (probably Motorcraft)
In: Valvoline Restore & Protect 5W-30 with a Fram TG 11955

Will change it again at 110,000 miles and run my normal 5K OCI with R&P once more.

Congrats on the new 150, may it serve you well over the years! One of the best modern truck engines, IMO.

'25 KIA Soul LX ( new ) : 2.0 Ltr. (M.P.I.) w/ C.V.T. :

OUT : Factory oil and oil filter ( 612 miles )

IN : Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w-20 ( S.P.,G.F. - 6A ) w/ HYUNDA/KIA 26300-35505

Owner's manual states 4.23 quarts and replaced with around 4.25 quarts and still reads a bit below the FULL mark . Thinking of adding 8 ounces more . Any owner know the exact amount ? 4.5 to FULL mark ? Is finicky with readings of dipstick .

Wonder if the factory fill for the '25 KIA Soul is TOTAL Quartz 0w-20 ? Found this U.O.A. at the KIA Soul Forum under Oil Change Pricing . States changed at 1,200 miles and refilled with PENNZOIL Platinum 0w-20 5 quart jug . I think the HYUNDAI / KIA oil filter was put in place . Wonder if the TOTAL Energies Quartz 9000 was / is used for the factory fill ? 2025 KIA SOUL owners manual recommends KIA Total Energies 0w-20 .

2010 Toyota Yaris

~4400 OCI

Out: Valvoline R&P
In: Valvoline R&P (second run of R&P)

These engines tend to have a layer of varnish at the fill port due to this area being a no flow area that only happens to collect oil mist.
Even with my second Yaris which had a history of 3000 mile oil changes by the 2 previous owners at 124K miles shows a light goldish layer on the baffle and threaded fill hole area.

From the second photo of your fill port, it seems there is slight cleaning on the surface where the cap threading ends. Keep us updated.

Oh, I write the mileage and date on the driver side strut tower along with the socket size of the drain plug since I have a helluva time remembering
For a few decades I used Duct Tape and black Permanent Marker for the odometer mileage, taped along the side of the drivers door.

My latest Oil Change

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4 GDI - 43k mileage
OUT - Amsoil Euro 0w30 - 3.5k OCI
IN - My last three quarts of Amsoil Euro 0w30 and two quarts of Mobil-1 Euro 0w40

Mixing oils of different chemistries is probably the worst thing you can do.
