This car is really really good. Got pizza for the 49er game.

2018 Honda CRV 39388 miles
out: frankenbrew of M1 5W30 and M1 ESP 5W30 run for ~1000 miles
in: M1 EP HM 5W30
reused Fram XG7317 as it only has ~5500 miles of use

This is my experiment to do a short winter OCI (4 months) to minimize the amount of fuel that gets in the oil. In March of 2024 I will do an oil/filter change that I will run for 8 months. The plan is to do oil changes in March and November (4 months winter, 8 months spring, summer, fall). Most recent UOA showed 4.4% fuel, so I'm hoping this plan keeps less fuel in the oil for a longer period of time, since the majority of the fuel dilution happens in cold weather.

Oil choice is due to my other car (2003 Civic) also using M1 EP HM 5W30 and trying to reduce the amount of different oils I've got sitting around.

What’s that run by case at the dealer?
$88.80, so 12 @ $7.40. My local Honda dealer has a very competitive online parts department. Even though they don't list the oil on their website, if you put the part number in it comes up in the catalogue and I add 12 to my cart. I show up the next day and the parts guy gives me a case.

I remember when I had a 2009 accord about two years old… I bought a few OCI worth from the dealer and enjoyed it. It’s a fine oil.

Brother's 2019 Nissan Titan:

Out: unknown oil/ STP filter
In: ST HM 0w20/ Fram TG filter

81,596 miles

Oil looked nasty, dark black and seemed to have oxidized (thickened). I'll share this with him hope he will be better about it. Truck runs great though 👍
What went in was conventional oil in that 19' Titan?
It's probably what came out and the reason for the Nasties.

And the VOA or UOA's as compared to others?
