This car isn't mine. I'm out of the classic car game. I still work on a few though. I went through the brakes on this Malibu about five years ago, someone else has replaced the fuel system about two years ago. It's been in the same family since new, and sees about 2500 miles a year. The GTX Classic is a good match to this application.

Drum brakes all around? I did the brakes on our '65 4-4-2 with some "special" shoes that were supposed to offer better bite and ability to shed heat better. I would love to convert the fronts to discs but then the car would be less original. And the 14" steel wheels would not fit.

Out - Dealer bulk

Vehicle has a lifetime power train warranty, so I let the dealer change the oil when OLM goes off (approx 10,000 miles). Dilution is a problem with this vehicle, very strong gas smell in the oil. I change it at 5,000 but don’t reset OLM. When OLM goes off, dealer has record of a change at OLM interval for warranty purposes. I have averaged 25.5 MPG, so I don’t think there is anything wrong with the injectors, just the nature of TGDI engines.

Left FL-910S filter on. If Ford thinks 10,000 interval is ok, then filter should be fine.

2020 Ford EcoSport 2.0L 6AT AWD 9103 miles odo, oci ~3k interval.

QSFS 5W20 and Motorcraft FL-910S spin on.

I had to purchase the filter at the dealer since there have been none in stock at my local Walmart for months.
AZ wanted 10 bucks. Sadly the Ford dealer wanted $8.20 which is also high.

I am Reverting to the 20 grade and a 5W as I am anticpating a brutal winter.

Reminds me I have to order a oil sample kit from Blackstone. I got a sample of the 10W30 I ran from Spring up to now.
I am doing 2x OCI per year now, Spring and Fall regardless of mileage.
