Post your latest oil change

2004 Honda S2000, 56350 miles, 3000 OCI
Out: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 10w30, Wix XP 51334XP Filter
In: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 10w30, Genuine Honda OEM Filter.

Changed it early to go back to 3750mi OCI, last OCI was at maintenance schedule time limit of 6 months. They say that because of the VTEC system, the oil pump is more than capable to lubricate a V12 engine, so the larger OEM filter compared to aftermarket won't restrict the pump.

2018 Chev 3500 6.6L duramax; 15W40 Delo 400 and Hastings filter.
6 weeks and 1,000 miles later, my daughter took the truck to the dealer for an air bag recall and they did a free oil change.

Thought I was drunk when I read EMD SD40. A locomotive OCI ?? . Man you win :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The back story was a cracked cylinder liner and head leaked about a hundred gallons of water into the oil.
It was luck that a used oil analysis caught the problem in time. Marine & locomotive oils separate water and don't mix well.
Quite often if an engine has been sitting for a few days, I can drain a couple 5 gallon pails of water from the
sump drain pipe.

Just a guess, but probably just a slightly thicker 0/20. I dont think theres enough 5w30 there to significantly change the overall viscosity.

Moved the civic coupe to Castrol Edge Extended Performance 5w 20 with fram ultra and the Audi A4 to Castrol Edge 0w 40 with factory cartridge filter. Seems the Ravenol RUP 5w 40 is no longer available from Blauparts anymore.

2005 Ford Explorer V6 with just over 178,000 miles. My sister is driving it for now. Took it to her local Jiffy Lube for an oil change. Also changed air filter. Cost her $113.00! o_O I told her that's why I never use them. Too spendy, plus, you need to double-check that caps are closed and there's no leaks.

OUT: Supertech High Mileage 5w30 and Fram filter
IN: Pennzoil Gold 5w30 and Unknown Jiffy Lube filter
You gotta be kidding! I could see if it was at least a name brand synthetic and premium oil filter. Obviously the air filter markup is outrageous.
