So glad you didn't go nuts and return the oil for the Escape. Tens of thousands of these engines are out there on what ever quick lube bulk and a jobber filter. Your Pennzoil conventional will be just fine to run till the OLM says so.

Reason why your using a 5w30. Arn't Focuses spected for 5w20 or 0w20?
 
My 2010 Civic SI

122,000 KM on car

Ran the oil about 12,000KM - Valvoline Synpower 5w30 and Fram Ultra Syn.

Put in Pennzoil Platinum PurePlus 5w30 and a TG7317 filter.

Will run to 0% MM.
 
2011 Buick Enclave 3.6 DI

89,000 miles on the vehicle

7,000 miles on the oil. 14% on OLM. Slightly less than a quart of make up oil.

2011 Honda Pilot with garbage VCM V6. Used Motul 8100 5w30....mobil 1 filter..

No sludge at all in this motor

Out Pennzoil Ultra Platium 0w20-11,000 miles

In Motul 5w30 8100...switched to 30w because VCM causes right bank of cylinders to run way to hot

Yes they're spec'd for 5W20.
5W30 was the thinnest oil I had in my stash.

Out - Mobil 1 5w20 with Lucas HDOS and SuperTech ST-2...Filter was stuck on...wish I had taken pictures...

In - Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w20 with Lucas HDOS and MC 820s. Much better
