Just topped up the oil on a 2007 Holden (chevrolet) spark 1.2.
It had it's last change with Shell conventional 10w30 3 years and 45,000 kms ago!
I was expecting the worst.
There was jet black oil on the very tip of the dipstick, well below the 'low' marker. I took a light and looked inside the engine and it actually looked pretty good baring being heavily varnished. The oil seems to have held up pretty well and there is zero sludging as far as I can see and feel around the rocker cover.
I topped it up with just over a litre of the remaining shell and that only took it to half way to the max level!
Will give it a proper flush and a change tomorrow, but the thing has been lucky!
