Oil change place had used non-specced filter, much smaller than standard, but the numbers looked OK so I imagine it was safe.
Had to break out the 1/2 inch drive socket set to get the drain plug out and the filter required hard pulling with a chain type filter wrench.

Even put a new drain plug gasket for good measure.

Out: Unknown oil/ Filtron(Not sure) Filter, approximately 4200 miles on oil and unknown time period. Took a sample for UOA.
Little electric oil extractor (from Amazon) and jumper battery (since car battery is located in the trunk) worked great.

Had to jack up engine in order to fully remove oil filter cap and filter itself. I guess engine mounts on my "to do" list now.

In: 8 liters (8.5q) of Lubro Moly TopTec 4100 5w-40 and Mahle filter.

Than accidentally hit half full jug and spilled about 1-2 liters of finest oil ...

A bit over one pint of oil used. Engine uses very little oil.

Last changed April 15, 2011 and changed July 4, 2012. I admit being a bit late as I like to change before the first mowing of the new springtime.

Removed blade for sharpening soon within a few days. Air filter looks fine and does not need changing.
