Oh look; Blake is back on a “like” or “laughing” binge all over again. How sad

2022 Toyota Tacoma truck with 2.7 4 cylinder engine. Friends truck. 10k on vehicle.

In: QSUP 0w20 and FRAM ENDURANCE 3614 he brought over.
I am really liking the QSUP I put in the Acura TL the other week. Great bang for the buck motor oil.

Oil was not in service for very long but did the intake manifold yesterday and some coolant got into the spark plug wells, thereby into the oil. There was maybe a thousand miles on the oil.

I was actually down a little on the stick right before the change. The last 1500 miles were mostly highway, with 500 of them being driven the day before I checked the stick. It wasn’t below the mark before the trip.

I went with the Mobil 1 jug in my inventory just to do a back to back on Mobil 1 (plus I kept the receipt) as it seemed the first use in the last bronzed up very quickly. That was my first change in the vehicle, having purchased it with 15,500 miles in it. Will it quickly bronze up again? Im guessing the detergents are doing their job.

I tend to lean towards Valvoline. That jug will end up in the Camry instead.

For the extra buck -- not going to try the Quaker State Ultimate Protection yet? Granted -- the QSFS is fine fine choice.
Probably will. This jug was bought before the new Ultimate Protection hit the shelves in my area. For years I would not touch Quaker State anything. Now I seemingly use it in all my vehicles.

Changed oil on the 2022 Maverick Hybrid today at 12160 miles on the odometer. Mileage on removed oil was 5552.
Oil use this OCI is about 1/3 qt.

Out: Mobil 1 Frankenblend and Motorcraft Fl-910s

If it wasn't for the 15 screws to remove the under body shield, this would be the easiest oil change vehicles I have owned. Takes about 5-10 to reinstall. Sure keeps the engine underside clean.
