Not 100% positive, but that looks like a KEF speaker in the background.

While Hyun/Kia get a lot of flack, and largely deservedly so, the 2L Nu MPI is actually a solid engine, despite being a bit underpowered. The GDI version has some issues, as do most Hyun/Kia GDI engines, but the MPI version is pretty solid.

2016 Honda Accord Coupe with 2.4 liter Earth Dreams direct injection I4. 58,048 miles on the vehicle, unknown miles on the oil and filter. The OLM was reading 50% and I think it's been two years since it was last changed.

Out: 5w-30 M1 EP, probably SN, and Fram XG 7317 filter.

In: 5w-30 M1 EP, API SP. Fram XG 7317 - older stock with wire backed media.

This had been a 500 mile per week commuter vehicle prior to Covid-19. It's gone maybe 7k miles in the last three years. 1200 mile road trip coming up this weekend. We may experiment with E0 fuel to see the impact on range. This vehicle is capable of 560 miles per tank on the open road using E10.

1993 Volvo 240 sedan, 233,200 miles, 5,300 mile OCI
Out: HPL No VII Euro 5W30
In: same
Mahle OC filter

This is the first run on HPL. UOA sent to Blackstone. The oil was dark for this mileage.

I will extend to 7,000 miles and then 10,000 if the UOAs allow.

Wow - that brings back some fond memories of a 1988 240 wagon with 5-speed manual. Unfortunately I cannot recall what oil I used, but I am pretty sure that it was some flavor of M1 towards the end in 1997. That car's life was cut short at 159k miles when rear ended by a semi on an interstate in a snow storm. We all survived, but the Volvo wasn't so lucky.

Hyundai says oil change due at 8K miles. I am old school and wanted to drop out initial break in oil. I will change it again at 4,500 miles. Thereafter I will go 5K changes not the 8K they state. MPI so it should be easier on oil than the GDI I previously had.

I used the MityVac and also pulled the plug since I was down there. Got maybe 1/2 qt more out. The engine was cold and I did not fish around with the tube as I knew I was gonna pull the plug.

Also cleaned battery, filled tires, etc. I need to pull a plug to make sure they aren't Amazon fakes. I put them in 16K ago, so the clock is ticking... I did not have the 14mm plug socket with me. Sheesh. Xiomi lives in Oceanside so I don't get too many chances to do proper service...
