Post your latest oil change

HAH, out: RGT 0W-20, Fram Ultra, in the same for both.
About 9.5K interval from 10/12/22 to today, 20% OLM.
Been meaning to get to this for the past couple of weeks and today was a nice day to do it after leaving work a little early.
Glad to see you are still here sir 👍

2001 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 4.3L Vortec. 103k miles.

Out: Unknown oil with unknown miles with a NAPA filter. I just ran with it for about 400 miles after I bought this car. But I decided to change it because oil pressure was a little low especially when hot idling. There was zero visible metal in oil when I drained it, and very minimal metal shavings on the magnetic drain plug. Cold idle oil pressure was right at 40psi (I know it’s not the most accurate gauge, but it’s better than Fords of the same era).

In: Castrol Edge 5w30 A3/B4 with Fram Ultra Synthetic filter. Oil pressure went up quite a bit with this oil since it’s a thick 5w30, with a HTHS of 3.5. Cold idle oil pressure is now about 45 psi. Hot idle pressure went up too.

Runs like butter.

Pennzoil is a fineeeeeeeeeeee lube. What is your preference for oil brand? Nice score with the rebate.

Mobil-1 is my preference, but l will buy anything that meets owner manual specs. I do not think there is much difference between the mass market oil brands. I think that the Pennzoil will work just fine.
