Google Magnusson Moss Act.* told I had to use subie oil filters to keep my certified powertrain warranty in effect
To add, any car manufacterer who stipulates you need to use OEM parts to maintain warranty needs to supply the part for free, that's part of the MM warranty act too.Google Magnusson Moss Act.

How did the cleaner work for you? Did you take a peek under the valve covers before and after? Any indications that your engine derived benefit from the product? Thanks!2010 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6 V8 116,836 miles

So a couple of things I did notice through the fill port I had some mahogany looking varnish on all the parts and that did appear to lighten in color but what was impressive was that when I drained the oil it looked like a very dark melted chocolate mixed with a very deep mahogany color. I’ve never seen an oil come out like that and nothing like that on this car. So did it work? maybe, like I said it appeared to lighten the varnish they was built up on stuff I could actively see we shall see what continued use of HPL oils do since from my understanding they actually will clean as well I hope to have a spotless engine internal when I go to do new timing chains in the next year or so.How did the cleaner work for you?
