Notes: 5900 miles on this service interval, shorter than usual due to some nasty camping roads and some hauling too. Not much else to say, modern synthetic oils hold up well and truck runs awesome.

2005 Subaru Baja in Signature (115,408)

Out -- 4.5 quarts Chevron Supreme Synthetic Blend 5W30 SP and ST6607 (5028 miles)
In -- 4.5 quarts RGT 5W30 SN and ST MP6607

Took the Subaru to Cape May New Jersey for the week for vacation. From last Friday till this morning. Ran a bottle of Gumout Regane HM Fuel System Cleaner for the way down and back. Changed oil this morning after mowing the grass while still on vacation till Monday July 11th 2022.

Ps... Baja is short tripped 85% of the time and used locally for errands. Wanted to stretch its legs for a good drive and heat things up well.

2017 Mazda CX-5 2.5 SkyActiv. 20140 miles.

Oil had just over 5000 miles on it.

Mazda Roki filter Thailand.

Job took 90 minutes. I’m old and slow plus thorough.
I'll be there by October. Did your oil level drop or was the oil have a little gas whiff to it from the DI? It was a nice cool morning here in the PNW for an oil change. How much of that time was due to the belly pan anti DUI factor the manufactures have burdened us with?

My BIL Mark Johnson lives in Gig Harbor. I bet you 2 have a lot in common. He's a good wrench. He's retired and has tons of energy; he would love to do an oil service with you. Seriously. Mark cannot sit still, unlike me.

It did have a good whiff of gasoline to it. No oil level drop at all nor a increase.

The belly pan is easy. Two push pins and two bolts for the access panel. I spray a bit of lithium grease onto a paper towel and clean the bolt threads while the oil is draining. Hit the hood latch as well.

Don’t tell me you took the whole belly pan off?

I don’t mind it. The weather was perfect today. I take my time mainly to double check myself.

I’m the guy who walks into the grocery store then tries to figure out why I went there in the first place. So I double check that everything is cinched up good. I would never make it in a quick lube place.
