Seems fine but I’m not one to notice different sounds with different oils. The oil level doesn’t move at all between six-month oil changes.Do good on that oil? It made my wifes traverse seem smoother and a difference in valvetrain noise coming from PUP, asking because I have a 19 2.7 f150
I'm fairly sure that 76 5w-30 WAS a synthetic blend, now discontinued and replaced by the Phillips 66 brand. I used the Conoco Phillips oils (Conoco, 76 and Kendall) for several years with no problems. It was and still is good stuff, even the blends.2005 Ford Explorer w/184,138 miles

My sister takes it to a local tire and repair place that uses 76 lubricants.

Oil change done at dealership as part of car purchase.
Thanks for the info. I live several hours from my sister, who is using my Explorer. She updates me when she has the oil changed. Wasn't sure if 76 was dino or synthetic, so, I just guessed. The repair shop just states using "76 lubricants". They do have great oils, though. Used several flavors in past vehicles.I'm fairly sure that 76 5w-30 WAS a synthetic blend, now discontinued and replaced by the Phillips 66 brand. Most supply their own oil and filter. I just change it.Wow, Red Crow, for as many cars as you change the oil in, I would expect you to be pumping from a bulk barrel most of the time. You must have a lot of family and friends.![]()
You need a used oil furnace in your shop. Most supply their own oil and filter. I just change it.
I have 5 5 gallon buckets I pour used oil in. I take it to the local auto zone for recycling. They let me go in the back and dump it myself. I dress warm and also have a propane lamp heater that works decent. I finish my work then go warm up in the apartment. You need a used oil furnace in your shop.
