The plan was to change the filter but the filter housing appears to have been overtightened. That will be a project for another day.

I revisited this today after 46 days and 875 miles on the oil. I wish I had taken a photo of the new filter as the pleat spacing wasn't very impressive. Note how dark the oil is already after so few miles. I anticipate having 2000 miles on the oil by Sunday evening.

Didn’t change oil, jist changed the OG ULTRA XG 16. Put a Toyota liter that crosses to 3614 on. Pulled oil sample from filter. Will send off along with Valvoline advanced Syn 5w30 and others tomorrow.

Cut and post of OG ULTRA soon of rain holds off.

Gave a little love to the '79 this morning while it drizzled outside. I wanted to go with something a little more "heavy duty" in this old flat tappet 425, and for $8 a jug after rebate I think T6 fits the bill perfectly.

I discovered that both my Cadillac's use a 3506/3675 filter, which will be handy for fleet maintenance. Much like my recent oil change on my Seville, I'll leave the XG3506 on the DeVille for another round since the thing sees maybe 3k miles a year.

Well, weather was nice and I couldn't wait till 6000 miles. HPL 0w16 is out at 5,200 miles. Dumped the oil, it didn't feel right to just change the filter and run it more. Ultra 0w20 is in. First time ever using 0w20 on this van. Wish me luck!
