Have you done a transmission spill and fill ? those things eat ATF in 30k … easy change though …

In the cruze? Yes, I did one 10-15k ago or so.

Finally got around to changing the oil in dads truck. Got outsmarted by a turkey this morning so I figured changing oil was more enjoyable than sitting in a swamp chasing a pressured tom.

Big booboo.... the ST 0w40 i just put in has no LSPI protection. Had to do an emergency transfusion with Kirkland 0w20....

In- Mobil ESP 0w-30 and PF63. Will cut filter after it’s drained.
Zero consumption with the 0w-30 ESP, where it would use 1.5 qt of 0w-20 or 1/2 qt of 0w-40 in same mileage interval.

2013 Impala 3.6L, 182,400 miles.
3,000 miles and 6 months on oil. OLM at 28%. No noticeable fuel odor.
Mobil 1 0w-40 FS (SP) out and in. The EaO17 stays on until spring.

There is no forbidden glitter anywhere, no metal chunks, and only some sealant specks in the filter.
I may run VR&P exclusively for the entire life of the engine; I'm curious how it will affect GDI deposits on intake valves…
