BMW 328, 145,000mls.
Out: Motul X-Cess 5W40 GEN2. Hengst filter.
In: Motul 5W40 300V. Hengst filter.
This is new 300V formula. I wanna see how it does after 5k OCI and some track time. Not sure how much track I will do as this year is crazy work wise. But, regardless, it will be interesting to see how it performs in regular driving.

I should have poured the whole bottle of HPL Engine Cleaner to top at 4.5 quarts but I wanted to give the Valvoline a chance to do the slow cleaning to not overwhelm the filter.
Look in my signature. Same car/engine. Went through it all, just like you are now. Flushes, piston soak, you name it. Car was maintained from new every 5k. Didn't matter.

Nothing worked.....

Carbon scoring of cylinder walls. That's all she wrote. Chances are about 90% that is your issue also. Curious to see how the R&P works for you. Hope it does.

If not:

Change her oil with a 40 weight. Best thing I have tried to slow down consumption. JUNK engines......

Yep!
With Korean stuff that consumes, smokes or is gas diluted, stay far away from 8-9csts virgin and begin with 12. Don't be afraid to use 14csts, unless you live in the coldest regions.

Keep those OCIs short at Severe Service recommendations and never let the dipstick oil level below a half-quart low.
