Post your latest oil change

Today on my 1nz swapped Tercel. Early but I rather put the good stuff in and essentially forget about it until next year

Out- Total Quartz 5w30 and HPL cleaner with 1102miles

In- HPL 5w30 pcmo, drained and reused the upsized proselect oil filter (its only been on for 200~miles) and will get changed at roughly 500miles for inspection then a PG-based filter will replace it for a longer interval

The bottle below is a leftover . It's S.N. , GF-5 . Here's some U.O.A.s' from the 2008 Toyota YARIS sedan that was purchased new . Used the Toyota 90915-YZZ1 ( or 2 ? ) . I think the 2nd oil interval may have been SHELL Full Synthetic 5w-30 due to different numbers . Could get the box of 6 from BJs Wholesale . Cost was $2 a quart when marked down . Can't remember if a manufacture rebate was used with the purchase .

Just noticed the far right column is different as well . That was PENNZOIL conventional 5w-30 and was likely the S.N.,GF-5 .

L to R are SHELL Full Synthetic 5w-20 ( S.N.,GF-5 ) / SHELL Full Synthetic 5w-30 ( S.N.,GF-5 ) / PENNZOIL conventional 5w-30 (S.N.,GF-5 )

This time I'm sure all is in order . Also , the oil filters were the TOYOTA 90915-YZZF2 .

Almost forgot this .

2010 Mazda3 S 2.5L with 77K miles. 4,300 miles on the oil and filter. Bought used a year ago.

Also dump and filled the 5-speed auto with 3.5 qts of Mazda M5 ATF. The ATF was a bit brown, so probably never been changed.

Out: Unknown dealer bulk dexos1 0W-20 and ACDelco PF53 filter.
In: Valvoline Extended Protection High Mileage 5W-30 and MicroGard Select MSL51348.

Inside of valve train is clean as new. Think this car has had good service and regular oil changes. Doesn't use any oil and runs strong.

Wife's car. 6 months, 2,250 miles on this oil. 6 Month OCI's to avoid changing in the cold. The car is short tripped 80% of the time. Votex magnetic drain plug had a small amount of dark build up. Similar to previous OCI's.

Out: 3.8 qts AcDelco 0w20, OEM filter

In: Same

Only 1 more oil change left with this oil then I think I'll get the Valvoline 12qt box and one of those oil measuring containers with the long stem and use it for both cars.

2014 Buick Verano T, 2.0L turbo
129772 miles total
8382 miles oil change
0% left on OLM

Out: M1 5w40 EF, Fram TG9018 filter
In: Same, Same

The OLM just went down to zero today.
Honest.
It was 1% this morning and dropped to 0% on my way home.
When did “Change oil soon” pop up

How’s it running with the 5W30 oil?
Really no difference that I can tell. Oil pressure once warmed up seems to a hair higher than with 0W-20, but outside of that fuel economy is the same and it doesn’t sound any different.

I have two changes of 5W-30 and then I might try out some HPL 10W-20, or Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30.

2013 Nissan X-Trail 4WD (aka Rogue) 2.5L

Out: Shell Helix Ultra (aka Pennzoil Platinum Euro) 5W40 GTL full synthetic, API SN, ACEA A3/B4, MB229.5, Porsche A40 and Repco ROF 135 filter.

In: Hi-Tec SynPlus Ultra 5W30 full synthetic, API SN-Plus & ACEA C3 and new Z436 filter.

OCI = 13,400km / 8,300 miles / 22 months.
