Post your latest HDEO change

2012 Ram 2500 6.7L with 179,500 miles.

About 5k on the oil change, had the shop replace the oil pan gasket which was leaking/weeping when they replaced the bad turbo. Turbo actuator went out and the VGT vanes were sticking. No codes present, just weird sound that drew my attention enough to take it in.

Out: 5w40 Rotella T6 and Fleetguard LF16035
In: 5W40 Rotella T6 and Donaldson P551018 (15 micron Synteq), one step above their standard cellulose and just below Blue series.
I believe the P551018 has the same specs as the DBL7349. It’s supposedly the same Synteq material as the DBL filter. I debated using the DBL on my 22 model but the FleetGuard won the toss.

Yeah the specs were the same basically, two for $26.50 was a decent price to try them out. DBL’s are double that much for two usually.

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 wirh Ecodiesel. 370 000 km on the clock and running strong. Just did a basic oil and filter change + 2 fuel filters. Petro Canada Duron UHP 10W-40 full synthetic out and same stuff in. Fram Tough Guard. Also added BG 245 diesel Fuel system cleaner. OCI was 10 000 km this time.

Not quite a change, but dropped the Wix filter out of the 7.3 psd at 1800 miles due to running 3 qts of HPL EC for those miles. Replaced it with another Wix (last one), another quart of HPL EC, and topped off with more Brotella T6. Oil filter cutter should be here this week sometime, curious to cut open that filter.

Not much to report in the filter.

Motul Tekma Mega Fleet ULD 15w40 ck4 for a Ford Endavour with the 3.2 L5 diesel engine. I can't seem to find a PDS online, but this oil is for cargo mini trucks, which get short tripped in city traffic a lot, carrying loads, so built to be heat tolerant. The competing product from Castrol (CRB Mini Truck 10w30) has a 3.52 HTHS and performed more than adequately for an oil that remains at 30 weight in 100+ F tropical summer weather.

1994 Freightliner/11.1 Detroit
Out: 10 gallons Detroit 15w40 and 2 Donaldson P552100 filters
In: 9 gallons Schaeffer 700 15w40, 1 gallon Schaeffer 132 oil treatment and 2 Donaldson P552100 filters.

Greased steering, suspension and brakes with Schaeffer 219 and I use Mystik low temp grease on the shift linkage. Using regular grease makes it super hard to shift in below freezing temps. Learned that lesson the hard way.

The Tri-PAC apu got an OEM filter kit from Thermo King and some SuperTech 15w40. I’m going to run that for a couple hundred hours and then probably change to Schaeffer. I want to figure out if it has any leaks or consumption problems before I spring for the more expensive oil. I’ll be out in the truck for 7 days starting next week so the apu will get a good shakedown during that time.

2020 Bobcat MT100 (Kubota D902), 1,010 hours, 50 hr OCI

In: SR T6 5W-40, OE Bobcat oil, air & fuel filters
The guys at my local Bobcat took care of the hydraulic fluid, filter, coolant and grease points as part of its 1,000 hour service

Saw that Shell came out with Rotella T6 10W-30, might give it a try.

With you saying the shift linkage, I guess it’s a COE ?

2003 Ram 3500

Out: Motorcraft 15w40, reusing the same Donaldson DBL7349 filter.
In: Supertech 15w40
OCI: 1003 miles

Sending in a sample for analysis for a general health check since I restored it this year. The engine has at least 359293 miles per carfax. The next carfax odometer reading was 6 years later and alot less mileage, currently reading 154470.

Volvo A25G in a newly forming tunnel for the trains. The machine is behind me in the photo with a tire blow out so had to go down there. The oil was around 45 liters of 10w-30 semi synthetic agrol oil and three filters taking around 4 litres each. (Pre-filled just to check how much they take, never pre fill otherwise)
