2016 Ford Expedition. I changed out the factory fill on the rear diff. a few years ago when it had 50k miles. Put in Delo Gear EP-5 80W-90 with 1 bottle of Motorcraft friction modifier and all was well until a few weeks ago. Now at 100k miles, the LSD started chattering horribly when turning, it was like hitting rumble strips. Did not do it on short trips, but on 20+ mile trips it was bad, especially with a heavy load in the vehicle.

Last weekend I drained the oil and looked it over in the pan and did not see anything unusual. The drain & fill plug magnets did not have anything scary on them either. Refilled with Royal Purple 75w-90 and 1 bottle of Motorcraft friction modifier, and did a bunch of figure 8's in a local parking lot. We have been on a few 50+ trips with it and all is well.

375 mL of OEM fluid suctioned out, 375 mL of BMW G3 GL5 70w80 put back in my 2019 JCW Countryman Mini All4. Just under 26000 miles. Old fluid still looked fine, although certainly cloudy compared to new fluid.

2019 Infiniti QX60 Rear Differential and Transfer Case oil change. Canadian Tire 80W90 and Mystik 75W80 used. Milage on QX60 80,600 km, kilometres on these 2 oils was about 34k km & about 2 years.

Front/Rear differentials & AWD Transfer Case fluid changed.

Out: Factory OE fluids
In: Redline 75W85 in the diff’s & Redline D6 in the T-case.

Diff’s oil actually looked like new, T-case looked dark maroon colored & overdue.

2016 Challenger Hellcat: 13,300 miles
Replaced factory fill with Amsoil 75w90 Severe Gear.
No glitter in the drained oil. Diff might be a bit quieter but could be placebo.
Doesn't seem to need any additional fm.

P.S. The squeeze bags the Severe Gear comes in make getting the fluid in a cramped fill whole a snap.
