I lived in Rochester New York for a few years; There is a list of things I miss about that city; Genesee Cream Ale is not on that list.

Jim Dundee Honey Brown is the only worthwhile product coming from that brewery IMHO; to each his own.

Genesee occasionally releases a bock beer in a lime green can with a goat on it, but i believe that is for local consumption only.

So ya know; same company that makes GENNY CREAM ALE makes Honey Brown. Food for thought

And I'd rather drink either one of those beers any day of the week rather than have a "fancy" beer that's like $30+ a case

Cream Ale isn't that bad honestly, but I found it's best consumed out of a pint glass. They also have it on tap at Sticky Lips BBQ in South Rochester. For $14 a 30 pack, you can't expect THAT much... Don't know if it was something local-only, but the last time I was in Rochester the hotel bar had Genesee Smash on draft. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and was saddened when I couldn't find it back home.

Car51, if you haven't tried it, Duquesne is a decent cheap pilsner and is local to your area. I can pick-up a 30 for about $16 here. Also won't leave you reeling the next morning like Cream Ale.

Calicraft The City IPA. It wasn't the all out bitter/danky attack I expected from say, a Lagunitas xPA or Bear Republic's Racer 5.

Last night, instead of terrorizing the neighborhood I drove to the parent's place and drank a Bud Light while kegging an NEIPA I made for a friend. Two polar opposites.

Had this one yesterday. Lots of spices and pretty strong at 8%. I like it.

And this one as well. Both taste very good and have about the same alc %. Probably more spices in the Southern Tier one.
