Interesting, I didn't expect to see so many non-drinkers reply. I will agree it's an expensive habit. I rarely drink but did have a Michelob Ultra this past weekend.
The non beer drinkers should not have responded. If drinking a Beer doesn't involve you that is great but that was not what the post asked.

I'm brave enough to try pumpkin ale.
I've not a good one. Worse is when they add spices.......it's just weird to me. I like authentic fruit beers, but beer with less stuff is what I like. And not overhopped for the style, either.

And I like roasted pumpkin, and real pumpkin pie.

I need a beer.

hey the wife was able to feed the cats. nice!

I only said I'd try it!

No photos but I forgot to grab a case of Paulaner Ocktoberfest Marzen when I did my heavy sampling two years ago. Im super glad I forgot. This years german fest it was by far the most crisp. Ive been picking it up whenever I see it at a distributor.

The Paulaner is still nice and malty just like the spaten and others, but it has just a touch more mild hops to offset the sweet bread malt you often taste in marzens. I am terrible as explaining tastes but it is just more crisp then the others. And for those that hate hops and ipa, no that is not the bitterness i am talking about. This is so subtle it just is there for balance.
