1.3!! I have a set of install floppies but nothing to install it on, as v1.3 won't install to any VM due to CPU conflicts on the intel platform.

Go to the nearest flea-market or junk store and pick up an old 386 or preferrably a 486 to run it on. I don't remember 1.3's system requirements, but you should be able to throw together a vintage system to run it on for very little investment. I occasionally see old 486's at the local flea-market for 10-15 bucks complete with a HDD, CD Rom, and Floppy Drives.
