I saw @Drewby83 say that he hadn't heard back from Fram after telling them about his filter issues, so thought we should record in one thread what response members have had from them.

Let me start. I told Fram customer service that 2 recently manufactured XG2 filters leaked oil very fast and I was concerned that this wasn't a one off and asked if they wanted me to send in the 2 intact filters to inspect them. They apologized and sent my concerns to the quality department. The quality department did not want the filters from me. Customer service did not offer to replace the filters (I did not ask).

Quality department didn't want your filters sent to them, I take it as they know the problem does indeed exist and they may have known about it for some time.

I have only dealt with Fram quality once...when I had an oil filter on a BMW X3 fail. I had clear pictures, clear notes, and it was documented here on this forum...but in the end I had to supply a receipt for the oil and filter to get any kind of rebate. Both of which I didn't keep for a vehicle well out of warranty.

In this age of the internet, I doubt they will get in the weeds of any response or explanation. I am sure they have lawyers telling their QA and engineering departments to shut up. Any response will be measured and scripted.

From my defective TG10060 I posted back in February, they ended up sending me two free filters for the inconvenience. They asked me what filters I would like so I wanted to try out the Fram Endurance, received FE10060's. I have one on my brother's Ram 1500 currently.

What about the Fram Extra Guard PH oil filters. They are the lower piced filters in the Fram lineup.
They still have 95% efficiency @ > 20 microns.
I can get a Fram PH7317 (for Honda, Nissan, etc) for $3.50 with Amazon Subscribe and Save.
Has anyone heard about quality issues with the Fram Extra Guard oil filters?
