Tesla owes my boss 50K for a deposit on this non existent product.
He's been inquiring with a range of lawyers but he cant find anyone to take the case.

Nice to see Ford working on something also.
I like Ford, but they have been completely unremarkable these past 15 years sadly.

The point is the 919 is a hybrid and can do this for 24 hours without having to be plugged in. Porsche could quite easily use the technology in a road car. Porsche has forgotten more about automotive engineering since this AM than the muskrat and his flunkies will know in a lifetime.

The 919 Hybrid had two separate energy-recovery hybrid systems. The rear exhaust system used a two-turbine electric generator to recover thermal energy from exhaust gasses, which exited from an off-central outlet on one side of the engine cover's dorsal fin.

Your point is that hybrids are different then pure EVs?
Porsche could make a hybrid production vehicle, but hasn't done so. Perhaps they don't want to?

The 919 is amazing, but it needs to be fueled up, right? Just like any hybrid. I own a hybrid so I know how they work. Difference is I can't fuel up the hybrid in my garage like I can the EV.

You may not like Tesla and Musk; that's fine, but Porsche has given them props for years.
Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Porsche North America, penned an opinion article called ‘Porsche thinks you’ll want your next car to be electric’ in USA Today, the largest publication by circulation in the US.

From CEO Zellmer back in 2019:

"First, Tesla has proven there is significant demand for cars that combine sustainability with performance and design. Last year, the Model 3 outsold any other premium sedan in the U.S. We know that American consumers embrace new technology, especially if it delivers a new experience. And once a technology catches on, consumers respond well to expanded choice as competitors enter the field."

There is much more. You may not care, but that's the reality.

Question, what fuel does that gorgeous Porsche use? What tires does it run?
High octane race fuel I imagine and some sticky race tires? Slicks?

I bet the sound is out of this world!

By the way, the Taycan is full EV as well so your comments fit it as well. I saw this brand new one in Palo Alto when they first came out; freakin' gorgeous! My cell pic does not do it justice. Yes, it got a ton of attention.

I want one, but even if I had the money I don't know that I could justify it. It's what the Panamera should have looked like in its first generation.

The problem I have with these super expensive cars is, I loan my cars out. It's bad enough when the GS350 F Sport comes back with wheel curb rash, partially due to the low profile Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber. On the other hand, the Tundra has proved to be bullet proof!

Yikes! Yeah that would be concerning. I cringe at depreciation when it comes to my own use even.
 
I think most of us can agree that Porsche builds amazing cars, and beautiful ones, but they are not cheap, or practical for most of us to own.
If I win the lottery though...

Actually, wanting a Porsche can be motivation for someone to improve their income. Nuthin' wrong with that. I drooled over Corvettes, BMWs and especially Porsches.
I used to have a poster with a 911 in my cubicle; it encouraged me learn to code and make money!

That's pretty funny, but that's why I didn't buy the 2023 GTI a couple of months back. I just couldn't see eating the depreciation on my current one to basically get the same car with a bit of a different look. I feel like my ears start bleeding as I get close to $50k. More than that and it's all about eating the luxury stupid tax. I couldn't imagine a $200k car purchase. If it was a special edition Porsche and I had car collecting money I could see that even at $200k+. Those will actually hold most of their value or even appreciate.
