Porsche Taycan Nurburgring Lap Record

This new speed record, a big deal, isn't given in this video. Perhaps it's spoken in German?
Thanks for posting but the video is empty garbage.
You can tell YouTube to produce English subtitles.

Edit: lap time is in the top left, 7:07.25

According to you it doesn't count remember?

Without at least two cars on the ring any data is irrelevant because its not reproducible.

Porsche does not play games like Bjorn does. They are serious manufacturer and this number will be repeatable or bested. Count on it.

This has nothing to do with Bjorn.

You aren't holding yourself to your own standards you set forth in prior discussion.

That Taycan is incredible. Beat the Plaid by 17 seconds. Great driver too. Time for Tesla to up its game.
It will be fun if the Roadster II ever hits the market.
It sure seems awesome, we'll see when it ships what the shipping versions do.

A factory one off can get away with lots of battery abuse.

Porsche already did it in 5:17 with a 919 and 6:11 over 40 years ago with a 956.

Of course. Who knows how this will compare to the production cars and what the price may be?
What is amazing to me is the Taycan and Plaid are pretty close to the uber expensive Rimac Nevera.
The difference is Porsche are real sports/racing car builders not some wannabe dope smoking egoist, neurotic, fruit cake.

Fantastic! I admire Porsche's passion for making the best driving sports cars in the world. They really outdo themselves, time after time.

It would be something to see the Model R, Roadster II, or whatever it is being called now, come to fruition and see what it could do. But frankly, with it being ten years past it's first promise date, I've given up hope on ever seeing a Model R on the road.
