poor responses from auto salvage services

Every yard I’ve gone to don’t seem to be particularly organized, but the front counter is pleasant. They do answer phones, but I’ve had no luck with emails.
They are a mess here. No rhyme or reason to where they put cars, 20 years ago they had some order. Chevy trucks here,Toyotas there... Now you have to look at their site to see what row a car is in.

Also everything is first come first serve

I was recently looking for an interior door panel and the guy snapped a pic of theirs from his screen and texted it to me right there. I thought that was cool. car-part.com doesn't list interior stuff, or at least not interior door cards.

But yeah, I called. I'm pretty sure state law doesn't allow email in Farmington, NM (@GON knows what I mean) -- after all, no one could read it anyway ;)
FTP Front trim panel, should be the car-part term. There are many yard that don't care, they think it's still 1970.

I was recently looking for a passenger side mirror for a 2005 CRV, powered and heated.

I didn’t even bother emailing anyone, as that has never garnered a response in the past.

I called about 20 places. Most didn’t know what colour their part was and weren’t interested in looking. One said he’d go out asap and check…he never called back.

I called another one that did have a paint code but he said “oh that’s at my friend’s shop on the mainland”.

I finally found one but it was a lot of effort. It was clear most places were not interested in the business.
