Pirelli P4 persist AS plus?

About that time for tires for my daughter's college car. 2017 Hyundai Elantra about 90k miles. 195/65/15 is the size. Had kuhmo LX Platinum now Michelin Cross climate but there getting near the end of the road. Pirelli P4 persist AS plus I can get for a good deal about $65 each. Any thoughts on these anyone own them?

I have them on 2 Honda Accords and a Hyundai Elantra. They are an exceptional All-Season touring tire at any price. Great wet/dry traction, moderately low noise and firm handling, but compliant ride. It's my go-to-tire of choice for a family sedan/daily driver. Highly recommended for your daughter's Hyundai.

That is a great tire for the money and even if it were $100 tire - still a good value. You are getting a good name brand tire for the cost of an off brand name.

$65 isn't a bad price for a name-brand at all, if you don't need all-weather tires.

Did you like the CC2? Would you like all-weather tires again? The good news is that tires in your size aren't expensive.

OE tires came off quick they were dangerous.All weather not necessary only bought because she,s up in Poughkeepsie NY but this is her last upcoming winter.

I've had the original Pirelli P4 A/S(back in 2008) on a vehicle and though that they were the best A/S tires I've ever had...at that time!
My original P4 A/S had the same tread pattern as these new P4 Persist A/S PLUS.

I've had a couple sets of Pirelli tires over the years. Both times they were quiet and handled well but seemed to have a much shorter lifespan than quoted even with on-time balance and rotations. Both times I was able to get a pro-rayed credit from Discount Tire.

$65 each is a very, very good price. We have P4 +'s on my wife's 2017 Rogue Sport. They are wearing very well but she doesn't drive that much a year. (5-6k) IMO, a noisy, hard riding tire which I would not install again on THIS car. I had the original P4's on another car (exact same size) and I remember they were very good in the occasional snow. (Now I have Kumho TA-51a's H-rated tires on this car and I'm really, really pleased with these tires. But they are 2X the price.) I think the P4's would be a fine tire for her car. They may even come w/a 30 day satisfaction guarantee?

I can't comment on the Pirelli because I've never ran them but I could use new tires on my Corolla and it takes that size (195/65/15). Where are they available for $65 each? I'd rather buy Pirelli's than no-name tires.

P4 has one of the highest treadwear warranty of all tires, so the compound will be slightly on the hard side.

$65 is an awesome price.

Some people were saying not to buy Chinese tires. Pirelli is owned by a Chinese state-owned company. So it could be considered a Chinese tire depending on how you look at it. The actual tire is usually made in Brazil.

I just called simple tire placed the order over the phone. $64.04 a tire out the door that included tax plus free shipping a total price of $256.16. Also included some sort of warranty. I did screw up possibly I forgot to try to squeeze them for the $25 off $250 code I had in my email.

It would be less than $250 without the tax, so you wouldn't qualify for the code anyway

I've just ordered these tires for my daughter's 2012 Scion xB. I got them at Discount Tire and there was an $80 rebate which makes me a very happy Dad. My go to tire would have been the General Altimax RT45. The Pirelli's are considered a better tire and with the rebate it cost a little less than the Generals. Thank you DT!

It really depends on the Chinesium as I like to think about it. I wouldn’t let my enemies ride on LingLongs. ChemChina has their hands in tires(Pirelli), agrochem(Syngenta) and other things.
