Is the noise a car makes important to the driver or does he want the fastest car? It was more fun to watch and I'll bet drive when it was dirt.

When you consider how much of the road was dirt when Monster Tajima drove it, his record is far more impressive than the one set by Romain Dumas on a fully paved road.

If it's for a race, and there's a pay-off like prize money, or maybe just bragging rights, of course you want the quickest time, to be the winner. If ICE and EV run in the same class, you choose whichever gets you there first.

Now in personal use, the wife and I enjoy our fun ICE powered cars and motorcycles, and we also have a pretty quick and fast EV. The EV is simply boring and soulless, as far as we're concerned.

If someone else loves their EV, more power to them.

Also imagine how many shifts he made in that run compared to the EV's, oh maybe, that's right... none.
