Pick one car if you had to made it last the rest of your life.

There are postal vehicles, the Grumman LLV, that are still in service and older than some users on the forum.

Sure would be a sad and pathetic life to drive around forever in one of those though!

I bet most of those LLV's have gone through multiple of engines and even more transmissions over their service life.

Being 90, I'd keep the MB E300 and reluctantly let the Ford Ranger go since trucks aren't to be considered; otherwise it would be the truck. The SUV belongs to my wife.

True, I'd be hoping they live up to their name and were built to take a beating, but who knows!

A 1991 Nissan D21 pickup with the KA24E. It seems those hardbodys just never die. Mine has 483k miles and still kicking.
My late uncle had a late 80's Nissan Hardbody pickup that he used to sell and distribute to rural convenience stores. He replaced the rear end with a junk yard unit around half a million miles and did a ring job on it around 600k and kept driving it for another several years until a mule deer smashed it up pretty good.

Probably best answer is keep whatever car you have, continue to take good care of it and store it in a garage when not in use.
