Hi, I've seen somewhere that first "change oil" light will come up at around 3800 miles on FIAT.
As of today car has 1100 miles. Will follow olm till warranty expires (50k or 4 years)
I have 1 free oil change from dealer. I believe they should use Pennzoil Ultra 5w-40. Should I use it or save for cold day/when I have no time case.
I have a plan of trying different oils and do UOA on them just out of curiosity.
So here are candidates that I have is stash:
Mobil 1 0w40, Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40, Mobil 1 ESP Formula M 5w40 (MB 229.51), Rotella T6 5w-40, Valvoline MST 5w40 and Blue Extreme 5w-40, Mag1 5w40 Euro formula and 5w-40 All Fleet, Lubro Moly Top Tec 4200 5w-40 and Motul LL-04 (which I think I will have for BMW in sig).
Top off will use open jug of Delvac for Mobil 1 oils, Maxlife 10w-40 for Valvoline, Kendall 10w-40 for the rest.
I plan to go per OLM or not more than 1 year, will use extractor pump and dealer mopar cartridge filters. Don't think with 4qt sump and turbo it is a good candidate for extended ocis.
So vote in which order they should go.

Mag 1. Keep it cheap. After all we all know what FIAT stands for...
Fix It Again Tony
All kidding aside, your dealer will not be using PU, let alone a Euro spec oil if they sell other makes than FIAT. You will most likely have to specify your oil of choice.

nah, it is only FIAT dealer, new building, very nice, modern and stylish show rooms, nice service bay with proper lifts.
ok if Mag1, which one? Euro of All Fleet? Which one after Mag1?
I think you guys didn't understand, I already have all those oils, + around 200-300qt of others,so keeping it cheap is not a problem.

Fiat dealers in Europe and even here in Australia use Selenia. I wonder why they dont in the USA?

Fiat recommends Selenia Abarth 10w50 on the high output engines. The sump only holds 2.9L.

Selenia

Sucked out FF today, sample sent to BlackStone. I had top up 0.5q with 15w40 Delvac week after I got this car, I have open container that need to be used.
Older Mobil 1 0w-40 went in, possibly back in times when it was group 4.
