ph8A, FL-1A users

Good afternoon folks. Was wondering how many folks here use the PH 8A or MC FL-1A variant or even the L-30001 variant filter. I’m gonna toss a OG ULTRA XG-8A on Dakota real soon.
I have used them all. Mostly PH8A and FL1A. I have a couple FL1A's left and that will be the end of them.They are over priced now and I don't feel theyare worth it. I have many PH8's on hand and I will be using them for a while.

occasional run the 8a size on the’97 Ram in place of the xg16 size various brands over the years.

I miss the Bosch Distance Plus, got a bunch on closeout from Walmart years ago. The truck seemed to like them best. No startup rattle or noise, filters were well constructed and always seemed to have caught a lot of debris. I should have grabbed more as they are long gone.

Off and on since 2002 when I got my 1991 Dakota with the K-car 2.5. Man that filter looked good on that engine! Two F150 300-6s, and now a F150 351W.

I'm buying whatever Rockauto has for $1.37 if they won't add weight and shipping expense. Walmart wanted $11 for a genuine Motorcraft; I wasn't on board.

@53' Stude
I used XG8A filters on my 2007 Toy 1GRFE from 2012 to 2024. Often doing xOCI up to 18k miles. No issues.
In 2024 switched to and I'm currently using for the first time a PBL30001. I switched because of the Fram wavey spring problem.
I've had a bypass filtration system on the vehicle since 2012 too.
My next filter may be a Fleetguard # LF3313 or LF3487.
