Very close to what I paid for OEM approved Mercon V Mobil 1 in 2006.

It's a moot point now. OEM approved Mercon V Mobil 1 is no longer available.

Mobil 1 ATF was never someting to brag about in severe conditions. My rural-route mailman lost two transmissions with Mobil 1 atf in them. The fluid would cook black in less than 30K even with an external cooler. Th last unit I put in it has had a different brand synthetic fluid in it and the transmission has over 100K so far.

You know we need to know what brand ATF you put in. Schaeffers?

Don't blame an ATF if it cooks. Obviously the cooler wasn't working or the transmission had other issues.
