I had a cop do this to me just now, but I see regular people do this too. As soon as they see you trying to get over to switch lanes they try to buzz past you as you start moving over. The cop was across the yellow line against the curb buzzing past me and I had to get back over so I didn't hit him

I prefer a clear view in front of me personally. One way to do that is go slower in the right lane and watch them disappear eventually, except if its anytime during the day on I-35, your cooked.

Oh, yea. Happens all the time. Admittedly, I sometimes do it too. It can be frustrating when you are trying to maintain a safe distance between you and the car in front of you, and someone who comes up from a few spots behind, sees the space as an opportunity to move up. If you let him in, then you have to back off, to again maintain a safe distance, and then some other driver wants to do the same thing.

So yea, I often will reduce the distance, when I can see that someone is going to try to squeeze in.

my issue is no one drives the same anymore. there either going five under or 20 over and no in between. youre either trying to get around them or they are flying buy you while youre doing five over.

Ya I do that all the time. No way am I going to get stuck behind some tractor trailer that's going to require 3 miles to pass another tractor trailer OR for some guy who simply must squeeze into an already too tight of a gap.
