Back to the whole 55mph discussion. Various points and arguments were made, but in my original post all I wanted to say was that the reduction in fatalities was erroneously attributed to the lower speed limit.
As with most political decisions they are based upon snap judgments, incorrect assumptions, and a general lack of objective scientifically derived evidence. I need to learn to be more concise.
