Penzoil plat euro 5w30 for Toyota USA

Think I’m going to settle for some castrol 5w30 euro since it’s a3/b4 rated. I want to just use Quaker state euro 5w40 in the tundra since I use it in the Lexus, but I’m not comfortable with doing that at the moment. Want to stick with the 30wt grade even tho hths is more important than the claimed grade, but it’s just peace of mind
The HT/HS is going to be nearly identical between those two grades with that ACEA Sequence.

and it’s okay to use these oils with high sulphur fuels that the USA uses?

And i know this is complete rubbish but i like how outdated the API rating is on castrol euro 5w30. Again this is rubbish but I like how its allowed to have more zinc like in old school engine oils since it’s only api SJ

What are your OCIs like? If not very extended you can go with mid SAPS oils, they are better for emissions systems like cat.
5k miles, pretty moderate. Are regular engine oils like Quaker state full syn, mobile one syn, etc etc full sapps? I’ve never heard sapps mentioned before until I started looking at EURO oils… very curious

Skip the Euro oils and use a 5W30 high mileage oil. Valvoline makes good high mileage oil.
U.S. sulfur content in gasoline is no longer high and I think you're reading old info. The only time it might go high is when a refinery ask for a fuel waiver. You can look up EPA fuel waivers HERE.
Thanks for the info, I did some research and I don’t see a reason not to use euro oil, and my 23 year old truck doesn’t leak any oil, not a from rear main, none from cam seals, not even the valve covers! So I’m just going to stick to non high mileage oil just to not “swell” the seals, maybe that’s not what they do but still.
I just dumped in some castrol edge 5w30 Euro car a3/b4 into the old 01 tundra so too late. I saw no reason not to use euro oil. It’s full saaps, and I know this sounds stupid but I like the fact that it’s api SL, the grade the truck calls for back when oil actually had some zinc in it. Yes I’m aware modern api specs are better but I still like how it’s got api SL, and has a high hths, yet is still in the 30wt grade making me comfy. The “beater” 94 ls400 v8 is my expiremental car running 5w40 euro Quaker state with a fram enduro filter. I’m old school yet young, and always did my oil at 4k, but I’m going to run the Lexus to 8k cause I know my engine is good for it, I need to grow as a oil person
