Are they similar in the cleaning power ?

Amsoil European Car Formula 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil is certified Dexos 2 so I suppose has high cleaning power.

Amsoil's Euro 5w-40 Full SAPS version would be a more comparable product to PU Euro 5w-40.

Also, where did you find the info that Amsoil 5w-40 mid-SAPS is Dexos2 certified? I don't believe it is.

Yes I meant PU euro 5w 40

It was written on their website one month ago now they removed it, I just checked.

I know. What I was saying is that if you want to compare PU Euro 5w-40, then you should compare it to Amsoil 5w-40 Full SAPS, and not to Amsoil 5w-40 mid-SAPS. I would expect the full SAPS formula to be better at cleaning since it has a more robust add pack.

Yes, and Amsoil 5w-40 mid-SAPS is targeted at diesel applications.
