I am looking to change out my coolant and am debating between peak global and zerex g05 or zerex Asian. I can get a hold of Peak locally but couldn't find zerex. My Miata 1.8 motor has a cast iron block and aluminum head. Both of my choices will do no harm to the gasket / motor right? I think I'm just being a worrywat but just wanna confirm.

Thanks

You will be fine either way. I personally prefer g05 but all three will be equally fine in that application. Also, that is not solely an import motor. Ford used it in the escorts.

Some of the decision depends on what kind of coolant service you intend and what's in there now.

For a total system (rad/block) flush, PGL full strength can be obtained in from Napa. Makes doing a complete system flush easier. Zerex AF the a premix, ok for a radiator d&f, much more difficult to do a system flush and get a 50% system AF concentration. If you intend on getting most of the old out, full strength is the way to go imo.

Unless G-05 was original spec for the Miata (doubtful), PGL full strength would be my choice of over the G-05, and at my Napa they are similarly priced.

All of those mentioned should have no negative gasket effects, all 2eha free.

Peak Global. Though I don't doubt G-05's effectiveness, I do seriously dislike its cleanliness, at least in my application (silicate dropout).
Peak Global appears to be an excellent long life multi-purpose coolant.

Just did a drain and fill with Peak global. Going to do another drain and fill in a few months. Thanks guys.
