For a client of ours, which one do you all prefer, 1 or 2 (or neither)?

Reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright. I don't like the front entrance walkway on design 1 but I know the goal is to provide contrast between the driveway and the front entrance walkway.
 
I don't like the steps and I think the windows should be brought all the way out to the edge of the house. Unless you plan on using the balcony thing for BBQs and what not .

OT: That councilwoman Traci Park you see on the news a lot. Some like her,others don't.... She is my Niece.
 
Are you allowed to have a balcony with no railing - or is that purely cosmetic?

I would say 2 is more balanced to me. 1 looks "odd" to look at - but maybe thats the intent? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

That's a small world, we work closely with the mayor's office and I have been in contact with her team.
