Well given how they are "giving" our money to the dealers, why don't we go into the dealerships and demand our cars as they were already paid for! Loans or not, the loan is given on the backs of tax payers.

Seriously I want to go in there and play mind games like they do with potential buyers and make them feel like they were owned.

No, its the "gift" that keeps giving...

Whatever the reason for this program, I have a big problem with the US Taxpayer giving money to Nissan.

All along we've been bombarded with how great the Japanese companies are with R&D, keeping costs low, being so far ahead of us technologically, yadda-yadda-yadda.

If Nissan/Toyota/Honda/Mitusubishi/et al want to compete with the new CAFE standards, let Tokoyo subsidize them

My $0.02 anyway.

Well if that is the case that they do not have to repay the loan back you can kiss this money out the window also....Watch this President will let Ford and Nissan slide also....He says one thing and does another....So much for the transperany administation we were promised...

See the post above. You still think the bailout and the ATVMLP are in the same vein. They are not.

What you don't understand is that the Ford family isn't going to take anything that compromises the company's independence or their control of it.

Well I had a few days to think and I am sorry for my posts....Not having a very good week. I guess what has bugged me about all of this money given out is that the average person is the one getting the shaft once again. I am having a few issues with a lot of medical bills that were left over from my late wife Dawn who passed away in feb of 07.....and I do have good health insurance. It is a challenge just to pay the bills but I am meeting my obligations with NO help from the goverment....I wish that all of this money giveen out would have been used for the average hard working person out there and not companies that were just too stupid to change with the times....again I am sorry about the posts and will think a little more before I hit the Send button......
