See if you have the room to fit this one in there.

L24458

Just cut one open yesterday. Approx. 154 sq-in of filter media area.

Does the fact that the Filter you specified have a lower Relief Valve P.S.I.(12-15 instead of 14-18) make a difference?

Since it has more media area and has a slightly lower bypass pressure I believe this is a safe combination. Going the other way would give me pause.

Thanks, I will try that size and see how it goes.

How do the specs compare between the 24458 and the standard Honda Accord filter 14459 I think.

You filter (14459) has the following Specs:
Height: 2.95
O.D.: 3.15
Relief Valve P.S.I.: 12-15
Anti-Drain Back Valve: Yes
Type of Filter: Spin-on
Threads: M20x1.5

The 24458 filter has the following specs:
Height: 3.94
O.D.: 3.15
Relief Valve P.S.I.: 12-15
Anti-Drain Back Valve: Yes
Type of Filter: Spin-on
Threads: M20x1.5-6H

The diameter is exactly the same. The only difference is that the 24458 has a height f 1 inch more. I think as long as it fits you should be ok.

What does the -6H mean at the the end of threads?
M20x1.5 vs. M20x1.5-6H
