Just curious - I have more room in length for an oversized #9688 oil filter for a Hyundai 2.4L GDI engine if available . Does Fram / ST make one that have the same relief valve pressure specs , etc. but just offering slightly more filtering material with the added oil filter length length ?

The 3592a really is not any bigger.
The 3593A is 3.39" high and 3.016" diameter.
The 9688 is 3.08" high, 3.02" diameter,
The 7317 is 3.468" high and 2.688" diameter
Also as said, finding the 3593A is getting harder to find.

Here’s this by just going on the thread pitch. Double check gasket diameter and such.
